inspired by melissa hung’s 2021 article “the last stand of s.f. chinatown's storied banquet halls”, i took a deep dive into what banquet culture meant for chinese americans and what it meant for myself. the findings of my research and my own contemplations are compiled in this lazy susan (the star of all banquets) inspired zine.
