sparkle

(the thesis book)

a book written and produced as part of my graduate thesis project, also titled sparkle. the book is part research, part history, and all about graphic design through the lens of the “magical girl” archetype.

i printed seven copies, each with a cover featuring one letter from “sparkle,” rendered in a pattern derived from a custom typeface i designed for the thesis. the holographic vinyl decal on the cover is another nod to the magical quality of my thesis both in the material choice and in how that symbol actually says “sparkle.”
