(the costume)

customization of a costume using custom made fabric. the pattern on the fabric spells out “sherry cherry”, the name of my magical girl alter ego who i embodied as the main designer of this thesis. the inclusion of the costume gives the magical girl narrative more of a footing in the thesis and brings things full circle. it also incorporates more traditional usages of sewing, a methodology that i’ve been using throughout the thesis process.
